Halloween Costume Party!
Olde Towne Halloween Party & Costume Contest
Join us on Thursday, October 31st at 7:30 PM for a spooktacular Halloween Party, complete with a Costume Contest!
Admission is Free, and everyone 21 years of age or older is welcome to attend. If you’d like to enter the Costume Contest, the entry fee is just $5.
Here are the Costume Contest Categories:
- Best Overall Costume – The top costume of the night.
- Most Creative Costume – Unique and inventive costumes.
- Best Couples/Group Costume – For friends or couples who coordinate their outfits, the most synchronized and clever group looks.
- Best Historical Costume – Celebrate history with period attire from any era or as a historical figure.
Contest Rules:
- Must be 21 or older.
- Only one winner for each category. If a costume involves more than one person or a group of people the prize amount does not vary. Prizes will not be announced until the night of the contest. All decisions are final.
- Employee’s and their immediate family are not eligible to participate.
- Participants must have a legitimate costume to enter.
- Participants must be present to win and all eligible participants must be present from the end of registration until judging is complete on the night of the contest, to be eligible for the prize.
- Olde Towne Menomonie reserves the right to alter the contest rules or discontinue the contest at any time.
- Contestant’s that do not abide by Olde Towne Menomonie’s rules and regulations may be disqualified.
- Olde Towne Menomonie’s reserves the right to take and publish photographs of contestants and to publish their names and prize amounts awarded.
- No Offensive Costumes
- Costumes that depict hate speech, violence, racism, sexism, or other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated. Please keep costumes fun and respectful.
- Avoid Excessive Nudity
- While creativity is encouraged, costumes must be appropriate for a public setting. Please avoid revealing or inappropriate attire.
- No Real or Replica Weapons
- To ensure everyone’s safety, real weapons or convincing replicas are not allowed. Safe, costume props (e.g., foam swords, plastic accessories) are acceptable.
- Costume Mobility
- Costumes should allow for easy movement. Costumes that are overly bulky or that obstruct vision may pose safety risks in a crowded space.
- Masks and Face Paint Restrictions
- While masks and face paint are encouraged, masks must be removable at security’s request, and face paint should allow for easy identification.
- No Hazardous Materials
- Costumes involving fire, open flames, glitter bombs, or materials that can harm others or damage the venue are prohibited.
- Age-Appropriate Themes
- Since the event may involve a mix of age groups, please keep costumes PG-13 to respect a family-friendly atmosphere at the banquet hall.
- No Political or Controversial Themes
- Costumes that are intended to provoke or incite conflict, such as political figures or sensitive current events, are not permitted.
- Respectful of Cultural Appropriation
- We ask that guests avoid wearing costumes that mock or disrespect cultures or marginalized groups.
- Contest Participation
- To be eligible for the costume contest, participants must check in at the designated area by 8:30pm, and costumes must comply with all the above rules. Final judging will be at 9pm.
